Budweiser just announced that, through November, their beer would be renamed “America” — and its logo would be redesigned to be as ham-fistedly patriotic as possible (our words, not theirs). They opted to include lines from the Star-Spangled Banner and The Pledge of Allegiance, but we think they should’ve gone in a different direction and been more upfront about their hacky, hollow marketing ploy.
