CLASSIC MAD DEPT.
We were saddened to learn of the death of longtime MAD attorney Jack Albert, who passed away in Florida on July 25 at age 92. MAD publisher Bill Gaines valued Jack’s legal advice so much that he put Jack’s name on the magazine’s masthead, even though the lawyer wasn’t an employee. Note: MAD was never successfully sued while Jack was its legal counsel. Our sympathies go out to Jack’s family.
