LIE OF BRIAN DEPT.Since 2003, Brian Williams has told a story about reporting from Iraq when the enemy shot down the army helicopter he was riding in. And he’s told the story a lot. He told it on Letterman. He told it in a book about the Iraq war. He told it LAST WEEK at a Rangers game, as part of a televised tribute to a retired soldier. It was a stressful event, and it happened over a decade ago, so Williams can be forgiven for forgetting some details. However, the detail he somehow overlooked is that his helicopter was NOT shot down…or even fired at. Now, the only thing under fire is Williams’ credibility.
