On last night’s episode of “60 Minutes,” Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos previewed a drone-delivery technology that his scrappy mom-and-pop outfit has been testing. While many are expressing horror at the prospect of a fleet of UFOs zipping across America’s skies — dropping books, toys, and marmalade on people’s doorsteps and hedges — we see this as an exciting step toward a future in which there’s always a chance that a box full of crap can accidentally crush our skulls from high above.
