With its usual great fanfare, Apple unveiled iOS 7, its new mobile operating system, along with a pair of new phones this week. There were problems, however: thousands who tried to download the new system were met with an error message, and many who could download it were unable to install it — which might be just as well, since iOS 7 cuts battery life by up to a third on older iPhones. But not to worry, faithful Appleites: the new, iOS 7-friendly phones are on sale tomorrow. What a coincidence!
