Other Surprises About the Bin Laden Raid Revealed in the Book “No Easy Day”

BIN THERE, DONE THAT DEPT.

No Easy Day — the new book about the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden, written by one of the Navy SEALs who was there — is already creating controversy. The author’s account of Bin Laden’s death states that the terrorist leader wasn’t shot by the SEAL team, but shot himself, then was finished off by the soldiers.  We don’t quite get what the fuss is about — either way, the story has a happy ending! But this discrepancy does open the door to a bunch of other bombshell revelations!

Al-Qaeda's Ayman al-Zawahri Starring in "Drone Alone"

President Obama’s relentless drone attacks on top Al-Qaeda members have made a real impact, systematically wiping out the top echelon of the terrorist network. Most recently, a missile took out the group’s “number two” man, Abu Yahya al-Libi. And although Abu now gets to live the good (after)life with 72 virgins, he leaves behind the last known leader (and perhaps last remaining member) of Al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahri. Cave life for Ayman must be pretty lonely — but don't worry, Ayman, even if President Obama goes on vacation, we don't think he’ll be forgetting you.

The New Al-Qaeda Underwear Bomb: What We Know

The CIA recently thwarted Al Qaeda’s plot to bring a bomb aboard a U.S.-bound airplane. Details are still emerging, but it’s been revealed that the device was a new kind of underwear bomb. (And we still hadn’t tried the old kind yet! This is just like the iPhone releases!) The whole story raises more questions than answers, however…
