ATTENTION IDIOTICAL READERS! This is (probably) your last chance to figure out what will be on the cover of our next issue!
The guesses have been coming fast and furious. Moneyball isn't a bad try, but no dice. (Those double chins don't belong to Jonah Hill.) Somehow, the Meryl Streep movie The Iron Lady is gaining support. Yeah, that Margaret Thatcher is really hot with the kids.
Back on January 5th, we posed this challenge: "Can you guess what will be on the cover of MAD #514?" We showed a shockingly important piece of the art and provided this painfully obvious hint: "There is at least ONE eyebrow on this cover." Even with all of that plopped in your laps, not one Idiotical reader gave us the correct answer.
We'll give you a hint: there is at least ONE eyebrow on this cover. We know, we know — telling you that is basically handing you the answer!
Let's hear your best guess in the comments!
Artist: Mark Fredrickson
Just in time for the season premiere of The Walking Dead, or for anyone who enjoys a nice mouthful of human flesh, comes the cover for MAD #512. Bon appétit!
In our ongoing effort to clean out the MAD stockroom, look what we found — the original Antonio Prohias sketch for the cover of MAD #109, March 1967! It's never been seen anywhere by anyone other than the old MAD staff at the time: Al Feldstein, Nick Meglin, Jerry DeFuccio, John Putnam and Lenny "The Beard" Brenner.
The excavation continues. Check back again for more lost MAD memorabilia!
