MAD has a long history of running a wide variety of material on our back cover: fake ads, magazine parodies, comics, and more.
You are here
Yesterday, ESPN.com debuted the cover for our upcoming issue, MAD #519! It's time to round up The 20 Dumbest People, Events, and Things of 2012 — this year's pack of offenders includes Lance Armstrong, Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, Amanda Bynes, Rush Limbaugh, Paula Deen and plenty more.
Take a look at our fang-tastic new cover! Access Hollywood debuted it this past Tuesday, and we're pleased to present it here on The Idiotical in all its slightly-higher-resolution glory. As you can tell by Edward and Bella's mopey mugs, we're finally sinking our teeth into The Twilight Saga with a huge parody of all five movies!
The absence of one particular tooth is a crucial element on most MAD covers. But as you can see below, our next issue's cover art seems to have more than the usual amount of chompers!
That's all your gonna get from us this time. What do you think is the bigger picture here? Get guessing in the comments! (Click here to jump to the comments page.)
MAD #517 is now available everywhere magazines are sold! This devlish issue adds fuel to the 2012 election fire as Barack Obama and Mitt Romney's presidential campaigns begin to heat up! It also features our Avengers parody by Dick DeBartolo and Tom Richmond, Planet Tad, Spy vs. Spy, The MAD Strip Club, Al Jaffee's Fold-in, and "A MAD Look at the Zoo" by Sergio Aragonés!
We're willing to admit when we're impressed. Some of you have gotten THISCLOSE to figuring out what will be on the cover of MAD #517. But NO ONE has given us exactly what we're looking for. Here's the second piece of the puzzle, so have at it in the comments! (The first image can be found here.)
It's time once again to play the hottest game in town!
Well, it’s that time again! Exaggerated athletic pride, feigned international cooperation and millions of people asking what the hell “dressage” is. For a couple weeks every four years we get the chance to scoff at a physically perfect Norwegian gymnast performing a slightly off-center landing, even while we’re barely able to trudge our flabby butt over to the nearest Taco Bell.
