And while she looks great, and it features her celebrated bangs, we’ve recently learned that there were other shots taken that featured alternate hairstyles for the First Lady! Yesterday was the Inaugural celebration and public swearing-in for President Obama’s second term! And while it’s historic and all that, not everyone could be there (if we’re going to stand out in the cold, we expect to get an Apple product or see the back of Matt Lauer’s head in person — and, ideally, both!). However, being the solid Americans that we are, we thought we’d pass along some of the highlights:
We know what you’re thinking. In this age of digital photography and Photoshopping, it would be oh so easy for us to take a photo of the First Lady shopping at Target yesterday and fill her cart with a treasure trove of MAD books, DVDs, T-shirts, Spy Halloween costumes and more in a desperate attempt to elevate our status and drum up business for our ersatz line of products. But you would be wrong! It wasn’t “oh so easy!” It was actually a lot of work!
• Give weekly radio address calling for stronger regulations on Wall Street fat cats.
• Count $2.5 million in campaign contribution donations raised in one day from Wall Street fat cats.
• Bag up all of Bo’s droppings from the White House lawn, go over to Eric Cantor’s porch, set the bag on fire, ring the doorbell and run!
• Catch up on TiVo-ed episodes of Glee. Continue to “evolve” on the gay marriage question.
• Get electro-shock treatment to try to forever erase the memory of John Boehner’s orange, knobby-kneed legs in golf shorts.
• Take Michelle for a ride on Air Force One – if you know what we mean.
