Celebrity Snaps: Joe Mantegna and Sir Ben Kingsley
A trio to be reckoned with: Rossi, The Mandarin, and MAD!

A trio to be reckoned with: Rossi, The Mandarin, and MAD!

On Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel asked Twilight’s mumbly dreamboat Robert Pattinson about his appearance on the cover of MAD #518 — and they even posed with a copy! You can watch the clip here (at the 2:30 mark) — Pattinson actually compliments cover artist Mark Fredrickson’s caricature, saying it looks like “a better version of me.” Sweet of you to say, Bobby — but, in truth, we would’ve been hard-pressed to come up with a WORSE version of you! Thanks, Jimmy — your complimentary “Celebrity Snap” subscription is in the mail!

In anticipation of Bubba's big speech at the Democratic National Convention tonight, we present two images of him happily posing with our magazine over the years. We'll hit the trifecta if anyone can snap a photo of him holding MAD tonight!

Circa July 2001. Thanks to Billy Robin for the snap!

Circa November 2008. Thanks to Brenner Willaims for the snap!
Alfred E. Neuman looms large over Chris and Griffin Daughty at San Diego Comic-Con 2012! Thanks to Ed McGuire for the snap!

Thanks to David Norris for the snap!
To celebrate the opening of the new Spider-Man movie, we present this never-before-seen shot of Stan Lee holding our cover for 2007's Spider-Man 3. If you look really closely at the cover, you'll see that Stan himself is one of the two gentlemen looking out the window. Can you name the other? Tell us in the comments!

If Candice Bergen does return to TV as Murphy Brown, we hope she's gotten over her grudge. We can't afford to lose any more copies of MAD this way.
