Earlier today, Rutgers University fired Mike Rice, its rage-aholic, homophobic and bullying basketball coach, shortly after a video aired on ESPN showing him to be a rage-aholic, homophobic and bullying basketball coach. Coach Rice used gay slurs, shoved his players and heaved basketballs at them during practice. The NCAA responded with surprising swiftness, already adding new signals for referees to call any future similar infractions.
To celebrate April Fool’s, DC Entertainment asked a bunch of MAD artists to illustrate the variant covers of some of their most popular titles (well, they were popular before this little stunt, at least). Fast Company has a gallery of all 13 covers, check them out here!

We’re sad to announce that on Sunday, legendary MAD artist Bob Clarke passed away at the age of 87. Bob was with MAD nearly from the start — first contributing in 1956 and continuing through 2010.
