By now, you know that “Trinity War” won’t end with the superheroes of the DC Universe celebrating their defeat of evil. In fact, this groundbreaking crossover event will directly pave the path for September’s Villains Month and the villain-centric miniseries, FOREVER EVIL.
When asked by a reporter recently what he’d do if he found out a priest was gay, Pope Francisanswered, “Who am I to judge?” The Pontiff’s refreshing non-condemning tone was welcomed by many and may have set the stage for the Holy Father to do further outreach to the gay community.
Batman and Superman are known for large-scale adventure, but those adventures are still often limited to what can fit in a single 20-page comic book. However, once a year, we give the talent behind Batman, Superman and many of our other popular super heroes a chance to dream big and come up with an extra-sized story that takes our characters to places you might not see in their ongoing monthly title. Sometimes you’ll see them tangling with a favorite villain, or exploring a thread from their currently storyline.
Everyone knows that Superman is faster than a speeding bullet. But is he fast enough to save lives on Earth, stop another planet from exploding, respond to the Justice League to help out in another galaxy, and still make it back in time to Metropolis to walk Lois Lane to work? It’s a lot for one man to juggle. Especially when his secret identity is on the line!
The MAD offices were host to a number of MAD luminaries (we use the term loosely) on Thursday, including Paul Coker, Drew Friedman, Tom Richmond, Teresa Burns Parkhurst, Desmond Devlin, Tom Bunk and Irving Schild!
