Over 50,000 people will be at WonderCon this weekend, but we’re guessing that if you’re reading this, you’re probably not one of them. That means you’re going to miss out on the chance to soak up the Southern California rain or take photos with all the cosplayers, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be missing out on any of the exciting DC news and announcements.

 

Digital First Comics 'Arrow: Season 2.5' and 'The Flash: Season Zero' Launch this Fall

This morning, TV GUIDE exclusively announced two new Digital First series based on Arrow (returning Wednesday, October 8th at 8/7c on The CW) and The Flash (premiering Tuesday, October 7th at 8/7c on The CW). 

The first digital chapter of ARROW: SEASON 2.5 will be released on Monday, September 1. The series will be written by Marc Guggenheim, the show's executive producer, with art by Joe Bennett and inks by Jack Jadson. 

New Suicide Squad: The Lineup

Today, the top secret government strike force known as Task Force X—but lovingly referred to by its members as the Suicide Squad—enters a new era with Sean Ryan and Jeremy Roberts’ New Suicide Squad. Which means, of course, that’s it’s also very new reader friendly. If you’ve never read a Suicide Squad comic before, if you’re not even sure what the Suicide Squad is…well, there’s never been a better time to start rooting for the bad guys.

COMIC VINE announces new talent joining Tom Taylor on EARTH 2!

COMIC VINE just announced that Andy Smith will replace Nicola Scott as artist of the comic book series EARTH 2 starting in October with issue #27, and joining Tom Taylor on writing duties will be Marguerite Bennett.

“I want to say a huge thank you to Nicola for everything she's brought to Earth 2 and for everything she leaves behind,” Taylor told COMIC VINE. "Nic has spent years helping to shape an entire world and its heroes.
