HELMET IN A HANDBASKET DEPT.
CLASSIC MAD DEPT.
Today marks the 69th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy. It was a major turning point in World War II and we are all indebted to the brave actions and sacrifices of those soldiers. We’d love to pay them a wonderful and fitting tribute...but as a poor substitute, we’re offering the cover and opening pages of our classic spoof of Patton from 1971.
THE ORAL OF THE STORY DEPT.
Throat cancer survivor Michael Douglas dove head first into the news today, wagging his tongue with a story some people find hard to swallow. Rather than give all these interviews, maybe he should just write a book.
WHERE THERE’S A WILL, THERE’S DISMAY DEPT.
BRONX BUMMER DEPT.
IT’S A SMALL BUT VERY EXPENSIVE WORLD DEPT.
CLASSIC MAD DEPT.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of Martha Stewart’s indictment for insider trading. Despite her constant denials, a jury of her peers (as if Martha has any peers) convicted Ms. Stewart and sent her up the river. Ever the survivor, Martha quickly made herself at home in the big house, even getting herself some prison ink.
In memory of the woman who played Edith Bunker, we present our parody of All in the Family from MAD #147, written by Larry Siegel with art by Angelo Torres.
